I’m Garrett Sharp, a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) who helps athletes perform under pressure using strategies grounded in sport psychology.
As a professional MMA competitor and former multi-sport athlete, I understand the psychological demands of high level competition. I hold a Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology and have worked with athletes across different levels and sports.
I work with clients to build confidence, manage pressure, and develop the mental skills needed to perform when it matters.
Every athlete knows the mind plays a major role in performance, but most don’t train it with the same intention as their physical skills. Mental performance is not something you hope shows up.
Just like strength, technique, and conditioning, mental skills can be developed through consistent, deliberate work. They are not a quick fix, but a foundational part of becoming a better athlete and competitor, and continuing to develop as a person through the process. Whether you’re a youth athlete or a seasoned pro, mastering your mindset is key to consistency, confidence under pressure, and performing at the level you know you’re capable of.
Having competed professionally and played multiple sports throughout my life, I understand how demanding this pursuit can be. I will walk alongside you to build that ability, not just by teaching techniques, but by helping you understand yourself, reflect, and apply what you learn. A Little More About Me
I’ve spent my entire life immersed in sports — from playing football, basketball, and baseball growing up to dedicating the last nine years to training in combat sports. I worked my way up through the amateur MMA ranks and have competed professionally for several years. I’m also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and have been coaching both MMA and BJJ classes for the past few years.
Alongside my physical training and coaching, I lead a weekly mental skills class at my gym and work 1-on-1 with athletes across a variety of sports to help them build the mindset and tools needed to perform at their best.
My purpose in life is to help others and through the field of mental performance, I’ve found the perfect way to do that. I’ve always been fascinated by psychology and the “why” behind performance, pressure, and behavior. Now, I get to use both my personal experience and academic background to make a meaningful impact on the athletes I work with.
